The governing body of the three Men's Associations is known as:

A Provincial Chairman is appointed for each of the four Provincial Chapionships under the jurisdiction of the Inter-Association.
It is the responsibility of the Provincial Chairman to ensure that the event is properly conducted in accordance with Northern Ontario Curling Inter-Association and C.C.A. Rules and Policies.

Membership in the Northern Ontario Women's Curling Association N.O.W.C.A. consists of the following:

(N.W.O.L.C.A.) NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO LADIES CURLING ASSOCIATION
This Association covers the geographic boundaries of the N.W.O.C.A.
This group is known as the NORTHERN ONTARIO WOMEN'S CURLING ASSOCIATION (N.O.W.C.A.).

Curl Ontario was created in 1977 to receive Provincial Government grants and disburse them to the various curling Associations in Ontario. The organization has since become the educational arm of curling in the Province and a leader in the development of teachnical resources for both coaches and instructors as well as Club executives.

All Associations are affiliated with this body through the Northern Ontario Curling Inter-Association.
For the purposes of Men's, Mixed, Seniors and Junior Curling, Northern Ontario is considered a separate "Curling Province" and as such has an entry from Northern Ontario at all National Championships.
For the purposes of Womens curling, ten (10) teams from Ontario compete to declare an Ontario representative to the Scott Tournament of Hearts
The object of the Canadian Curling Association is to act as the National sports governing body of curling in Canada and to facilitate the development and marketing of the sport of curling at both the Association level and Club level.
It has also been established to enforce the rules of curling in Canada, to cultivate relations with other associations (national and international)
